A Difficult Denomination

By calling a philosopher or a person interested in philosophy "Swiss" we do not want to imply

  • anything about their nationality
  • anything about their place of residence, work or study
  • anything about their history, their upbringing, their education
  • anything else

And it still is a mix of all these, roughly the sense of "Swiss" used by Swiss National Science Foundation. Obviously, the list below contains mistakes - thanks for pointing them out. We are particularly interested in the "Swiss" philosophical diaspora and in the institutional history of Swiss philosophy departments - thanks for helping us with any information you may have.
