Sevices for Employees

The association Philosophie.ch offers institute employees the opportunity to use philosophie.ch as a platform for their students and their work.

The portal sees itself as a network for teachers and researchers who work at teaching or research institutes in Switzerland. The portal's free tools (user accounts, newsletter, magazine) are intended to facilitate exchange between different philosophical disciplines and increase the visibility of research. The association Philosophie.ch is committed to promoting philosophical research and intradisciplinary discourse, and to making this discourse accessible to the broader public.

The portal receives over 1000 visitors per day and covers a wide range of thematic articles in the field of science communication and on various philosophical topics and areas.

Institute employees can use the profile function to create and publish articles free of charge and independently. These can be announced via our newsletter and on the news page and are available on the portal long term.

Other types of contributions (such as link lists, podcasts, videos, references to online offerings and training opportunities, etc.) are highly welcome.

Furthermore, the announcement of competitions can be a good way to generate interest and awaken curiosity - we are happy to help you with this.

It's important for individual researchers to share their work with the public. This helps the university to be more in touch with the community and individual needs. It also increases the influence of science in society.

In this sense, the portal Philosophie.ch sees itself as a tool and the association behind it as a direct point of contact for researchers with the aim of promoting and disseminating research in Switzerland.

The work on multilingual communication, i.e. the development and improvement of new formats of communication, aims to make the theoretical and practical work of researchers and institutes accessible to a broader public in an efficient and understandable way.

Such a discussion and deepening of core questions of current research projects creates participation.

Publish Students' Work on the Portal

Institute employees can publish students' work on philosophie.ch, which can motivate students to write good papers. We publish articles on the portal under a CC license that leaves the rights with the authors and allows for future republication.

By publishing, student papers are effectively protected against plagiarism and document the progress of the participants. Learn more on our page about student projects.

Articles on philosophie.ch can be read on the portal and create room for further discussion.

Newsletter, Job Openings and Event Calender

Once a month, we create a carefully selected newsletter from our current articles and send it to around 700 people interested in philosophy in Switzerland.

Members of universities can use their "Institutional" profile to announce events, advertise job openings, describe research seminars and projects, and post Call for Papers for their university, department, or research group.

Your Profile

Institute employees can create a profile on Philosophie.ch where all their own contributions will also appear. These can then be easily accessed from anywhere.

For example, Prof. Christoph Rehmann-Sutter has provided several contributions for his students on philosophie.ch:
