Philosophie.ch is hosting an essay competition open to everyone, in order to explore connections and interrelations between philosophy and music.
What is the philosophy behind your song?
Have you ever thought about why you like your favorite song so much? Maybe it was running in the background at a beautiful moment in your life. Perhaps the text describes a situation that you have already experienced, so precisely that you finally felt understood. Maybe it deals with the complexity of your inner life or the world in general. Do you maybe even hear your favorite philosopher in the verses?
No matter what it may be: We want to know everything about it! In your essay, describe and explain, for example, philosophical motifs that are hidden in your favorite song, a certain philosophical movement that the song specifically captures, or a song about which you think: «That could have come from (insert your favorite philosopher)'s pen!"

The three winning contributions will receive 100.-. Each one of them will be published on our portal.
Submission deadline: Send your contribution (in the case of texts, in an editable format) to info@philosophie.ch by the 31th of August. (extended to the 15th of September).

Welche Philosophie steckt hinter Deinem Lied?
Schon einmal überlegt, warum Du Dein Lieblingslied so gerne magst? Vielleicht lief es zu einem wunderschönen Moment in Deinem Leben im Hintergrund. Vielleicht beschreibt der Text eine Situation, die Du schon erlebt hast so genau, dass Du Dich endlich verstanden fühlst. Vielleicht beschäftigt es sich mit der Komplexität Deines Innenlebens oder der Welt im Allgemeinen. Hörst du vielleicht sogar Deinen Lieblingsphilosophen in den Strophen?
Ganz egal was es nun sein mag: Wir wollen alles darüber wissen! Beschreibe und erläutere in deinem Essay zum Beispiel philosophische Motive, die sich in Deinem Lieblingslied verstecken, eine bestimmte Strömung, die das Lied gezielt einfängt oder ein Lied, von dem Du denkst: «Das hätte auch aus (Namen Deines bevorzugten Philosophen einfügen)s Feder stammen können!»

Die drei Gewinner erhalten je 100,-, aber jede Einsendung wird auf unserem Portal veröffentlicht.

Quelle est la philosophie qui se cache derrière ta chanson ?
As-tu déjà réfléchi à la raison pour laquelle tu aimes tant ta chanson préférée ? Peut-être qu'elle a accompagné un beau moment de ta vie. Peut-être que les paroles décrivent si précisément une situation que tu as déjà vécue que tu te sens enfin compris. Peut-être qu'il traite de la complexité de ta vie intérieure ou du monde en général. Peut-être entends-tu même ton philosophe préféré dans les strophes ?
Peu importe ce que c'est : nous voulons tout savoir ! Dans ta contribution, décris et explique par exemple les motifs philosophiques qui se cachent dans ta chanson préférée, un courant particulier que la chanson capte de manière ciblée ou une chanson dont tu penses : "Elle aurait pu être écrite par (insérer le nom de ton philosophe préféré) !"

Qual è la filosofia che sta dietro alla vostra canzone?
Avete mai pensato al motivo per cui vi piace tanto la vostra canzone preferita? Forse era in sottofondo in un momento meraviglioso della vostra vita. Forse il testo descrive una situazione che avete già vissuto in modo così accurato da farvi sentire finalmente compresi. Forse tratta della complessità della vostra vita interiore o del mondo in generale. Forse sentite anche il vostro filosofo preferito nei versi?
Non importa quale sia, noi vogliamo sapere tutto! Nel vostro saggio, descrivete e spiegate, ad esempio, i motivi filosofici nascosti nella vostra canzone preferita, una particolare corrente che la canzone cattura in modo specifico, o una canzone di cui pensate: "Potrebbe essere stata scritta da (inserire il nome del vostro filosofo preferito)!".

Perché partecipare?
I tre vincitori riceveranno un premio di 100 franchi ciascuno. Anche tutti gli altri contributi però saranno pubblicati sul nostro portale.
