eidos -- the Centre in Metaphysics of the University of Geneva
eidos, the Centre for Metaphysics at the University of Geneva,
unites the following research projects:
- The Theory of Essence,
the research project of the SNF-sponsored professor Fabrice Correia,
2007--2011, including two PhD students.
- pro*doc Research Module
Properties and Relations, part of the pro*doc program "Mind, Normativity,
Self, and Properties" funded by the SNF, 2007-2010, director
Kevin Mulligan, including two PhD students.
- Intentionality
- the Mark of the Mental, a "Sinergia" research project
sponsored by the SNF, 2009-2013, including three post-doctoral
researchers and three PhD students.
- Fundamentality,
a research project sponsored by the SNF, including one post-doctoral
researcher.
- The Perspectivality of
Thoughts and Facts (PETAF), a Marie Curie Initial Training
Network funded by the FP7, 2010-2014, including (in Geneva) one PhD
student.
- The Metaphysics of
Properties, a ESF research networking programme, 2010-2014,
funding conferences, workshops, travel grants and exchange visit grants
for PhD students.
- Properties and
Relations, a research project funded by the Swiss National
Science Foundation (SNF), 2007--2009, director Kevin Mulligan,
including six post-doctoral
researchers.
- The Formal Ontology of
Properties and Relations, a research project funded by the
Boninchi Foundation, 2006-2008, director Kevin Mulligan, including
three post-doctoral researchers.
eidos offers a forum for the philosophical work done in
metaphysics and the philosophy of science at the University of Geneva,
connecting it to work in other fields and at other universities.
