Philosophia - An open access book series on philosophy

The new book series «Philosophia» provides a forum for research from all philosophical disciplines and supports the authors’ interests to make their research results easily available and widely disseminated.

The new book series «Philosophia» provides a forum for research from all philosophical disciplines. Both systematic and historical contributions are welcome for submission. Simultaneously with the purchasable print edition, all volumes of the series will become available as eBooks for free download (Open Access Gold). Thus, the series guarantees utmost visibility of its publications and supports the authors’ interests to make their research results easily available and widely disseminated.

The expertise of the editors and the quality-proofing evaluation ensure high-quality publications. Apart from research monographs, the series is also open for thematic anthologies.

Editors

Claus Beisbart is professor for philosophy of science at the University of Bern. The focus of his work is on philosophy of science, the foundations of ethics and philosophical methodology.

Christoph Halbig is professor for general ethics at the University of Zurich. His systematic work mainly concerns metaethics, normative ethics and action theory; in the area of history of philosophy, he is primarily concerned with Kant and German idealism.

Carole Maigné is professor for philosophy at the University of Lausanne. Her work focuses mainly on aesthetics and cultural philosophy and on philosophy of the 19th and 20th century.

Simone Zurbuchen is professor for modern and contemporary philosophy at the University of Lausanne. Her main research areas are moral philosophy, philosophy of law and political philosophy of the 17th and 18th century.
