Phileas was founded by Alain Pé-Curto and Amanda Garcia in 2005. Since then Phileas has become one of the most active and respected students association at Geneva University. Not only does Phileas provide support to the students in philosophy, but the association seek to promote philosophy within the faculty and beyond by organizing international talks. Furthemore Phileas is editor of iPhilo, a journal of philosophy dedicated to present and make philosophy look less austere than prejudiced. Since 2009, Phileas is member of the CUAE, the largest students association in Geneva.
